Dr. Lisa Chow, BSc, OD
Optometrist in Neuro-Visual Rehabilitation and Development
Member of the Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Association (NORA), Vision Therapy Canada (VTC)
“The moment I witnessed a patient who had a brain injury be able to balance themselves simply by wearing special lenses in their glasses, I knew that as an Optometrist, I can do so much more than meet the eyes. With will, dedication, and, vision and spectacle therapy, we have the opportunity to help people of all ages uncover their highest visual potential. This does not only apply to TBI patients, but to children or adults who have learning related vision problems. It brings me tremendous joy and gratitude to be able to help those who never fully experienced functional vision or who lost it through an injury.”
Dr. Lisa Chow completed her Advanced studies in Binocular Vision and Vision Therapy and Doctor of Optometry Degree at Salus University Pennsylvania College of Optometry. She is a member of the Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Association and a member of Vision Therapy Canada. She is pursuing her Fellowship in Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation with NORA and has pursued specialized training in vision development with the Optometric Extension Program Foundation (OEPF). Lisa also speaks Cantonese and when she is not in the exam room, she enjoys yoga, dancing, traveling, and spending quality time with her husband and two young boys.
